Bollywood Sizzling Actor Shahrukh Khan, Director Vishal Bharadwaj make up.

That Shah Rukh Khan and Vishal Bhardwaj had a fall-out not too long ago was a hot topic of discussion among many.

But this is Bollywood, and here, relationships are fickle. The latest on the duo is that they have patched-up, and if all goes well, SRK will star in one of Vishal Bharadwaj Movies. They had a long meeting last week, in the course of which, the hatchet was buried.

A source revealed, “Shah Rukh and Vishal met warmly and discussed many ideas. One of them may soon translate into a film.”

Apparently, Shah Rukh and Vishal had creative differences over a script sometime ago when SRK wanted several changes in the script to suit his image and Vishal was not particularly kicked about it.

The first whiff that a patch-up was in the offing came when Shah Rukh Khan Wife Gauri Khan attended a screening of Vishal Bharadwaj Kaminey at Yash Raj Studios. Commenting on the patch-up, our source said, “Shah Rukh saw Kaminey and sent a message to Vishal, lauding him. On the other hand, Vishal, in a recent interview, praised SRK’s acting abilities and stated that he would love to bring out the actor in his film. Gradually but surely, Shah Rukh and Vishal have put the past behind them. They are now keen on working together.

However, nothing about a film has been finalized yet. But when a director like Vishal and an actor like SRK team up, it will be a much awaited film.

Only two Indians have ever won an Oscar costume designer Bhanu Athaiya for Gandhi (1982) and arthouse director Satyajit Ray who received a lifetime achievement award in 1992. However, with three Academy Award nominations this year for Slumdog Millionaire one for overall score and for two songs Chennai-based composer A R Rahman looks likely to be the third. He’s also up for the Best Music award at Sunday night’s Baftas.

“We’ve been waiting for this for 80 years,” said Rahman recently in The Hindu, the Indian daily newspaper. “I think it will create a bridge between Western and Indian audiences, and lead to more people exploring Indian music.”

Rahman’s first breakthrough tune Chinna Chinna Aasai, in the 1992 film Roja was a song of a poor man dreaming of riches. Rahman’s family had struggled after his father. His father’s eclectic tastes was inherited by his son, who formed a rock band in his teens and studied Western classical music (at Trinity College in London) and Indian classical music.

“Compared with other Indian film composers, I only write about six movies a year. Others write up to 60,” he tells me in the unlikely setting of his house in Tufnell Park, where he lives when he is in London.

He’s already the first Indian national to pick up a Golden Globe (for Slumdog), and says: “I hope we get at least one [Oscar]. I cannot wait for the announcement.”

The beautiful actress Lisa Ray has been diagnosed with a rare and incurable cancer of the white blood cells.

On her blog, Lisa ray wrote “I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma on June 23rd. Started my first cycle of treatment July 2nd. Not long ago.”

Lisa Ray was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to a Bengali Indian father and a Polish mother. She started her career as model and made debut to Bollywood in 2001 with ‘Kasoor‘.

You just know when something is kosher with your body. When I got the news, I didn’t react and didn’t cry. I am an actress, believe me, I can be dramatic,” she further wrote. “I believe it can be cured. That’s the dirty realist in me.”
